Buddy is a 35-year veteran in the entertainment business and graduated from Howard University. He is credited with over 70 television & film appearances on IMDB. This includes five appearances on BET’s Comic View, two on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, and Martin Lawrence’s 1 st Amendment. He’s appeared as an actor on the hit sitcoms Martin, The Jamie Fox Show, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Drake & Josh, and most recently, The Upshaws on Netflix. He is a 2-time NAACP “Best Supporting Actor” Theater Award winner for performances in Dave Talbert’s Fabric of a Man and Debbie Allen’s theater production Pearl. He has written comedy material and worked with numerous comic superstars, including Kevin Hart, Cedric the Entertainer, Steve Harvey, Kym Whitley, and Oscar winners Jamie Foxx and Monique. He was a Producer/Writer on the Image Award-winning satirical sitcom “The Real Husbands of Hollywood” starring Kevin Hart, with Season 6 currently airing on Netflix.
He played the lead character Leon in Leon’s Lounge and recurring co-star Bernie on Millennial’s, which runs on the Black Prime and All-Black streaming networks, respectively. Buddy and writing partner Chris Spencer co-created “White Famous” a single-camera dramedy, which aired on the Showtime cable network. Currently, several of his on-screen performances can be seen on various streaming media platforms The Outlaw Johnny Black, Back on the Strip, and the crime drama Dead Wrong and The Upshaws on Netflix.
